Secutech to open April 22 in Taipei with focus on infrastructure, AI and disaster resilience

Power outages, delayed fire responses and security system breaches are no longer hypothetical scenarios but real-world risks, as cross-domain threats continue to rise.

Against this backdrop, the 27th Taipei International Security Technology Expo, Secutech 2026, will be held April 22–24 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1. The event will run alongside Fire & Safety 2026 and SMAbuilding 2026, featuring six themed zones and more than 130 forums focused on solutions spanning critical infrastructure to community resilience.

A newly launched critical infrastructure zone will spotlight technologies for energy, water, transportation, communications and government sectors. Exhibits will include smart surveillance systems, edge computing devices, AI-powered image recognition and cybersecurity solutions. Forums will address rail development, supply chain cybersecurity and logistics risk management, with senior officials and metro representatives participating in a regional rail discussion.

The wellness building pavilion will focus on healthy and sustainable construction, showcasing smart lighting, indoor environmental monitoring and energy management systems. Discussions will center on WELL certification, ESG design and low-carbon building practices, with participation from international organizations including the International WELL Building Institute.

A net-zero ESG solutions pavilion, featuring 18 companies, will present technologies and services related to carbon reduction, energy management and sustainable materials. Forums will cover carbon accounting, prefabrication methods and ESG-driven fire safety management.

Addressing emerging risks, a disaster prevention zone will highlight fire protection technologies for energy storage systems and electric vehicles, along with smoke control systems and thermal imaging detection. Sessions will examine industrial safety standards, facility protection and AI applications in firefighting.

The disaster resilience alliance pavilion will showcase earthquake warning systems, unmanned inspection vehicles and emergency preparedness supplies. A regional summit will bring together international participants to discuss disaster response cooperation and community resilience strategies, with simultaneous interpretation provided.

An explosion-proof electrical zone will feature certified equipment designed for hazardous environments such as petrochemical and semiconductor facilities. Topics will include hydrogen safety, equipment maintenance standards and lithium battery fire prevention.

The event’s “Security & Safety Week” will include five parallel forum tracks covering infrastructure protection, AI applications, smart buildings, industrial safety and fire prevention. Several sessions will offer professional certification credits.

Organizers say the exhibition reflects a growing recognition that security requires integrated approaches across sectors, from national infrastructure to residential buildings.

Admission is free, with organizers inviting government agencies, industry professionals, system integrators and researchers to attend.
